i was sitting in my usual spot on the sofa, smushed smack dab in the crack between the panels next to bry. i turned around and noticed on the shelf behind me a clear, lidded jar that holds to the brim tiny pieces of lightly tinted glass.
i thought to ask bryan where it came from. it sure wasn’t mine, but it was still aesthetically pleasing.
“it’s from my volvo in high school.” i am familiar with the ’88 volvo he’s talking about. we had our first really awkward kiss in its backseat five years ago.
“someone smashed my car window with a brick, and when i found my car like that i thought the glass looked cool, so i put it in that jar.”
talk about making light of a situation. do you make shelf art out of vandalism?
try making light of your next unpleasant experience, or if it can be done, at least make it pretty to look at.

When you said “aesthetically pleasing”, it reminded me of when Nina Garcia from PR told Santino that his design was just not “aesthetically pleasing”. Way to make lemonade out of lemons Bry, or whatever that saying is. I noticed that jar too. My thought was, if I break a glass while I am staying here, I am going to put the remains in the jar and see if they notice :) Love you both
